Team Mechanic
Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team is a French men’s professional road cycling team, active since 1992 and licensed as a UCI WorldTeam. Directed by Vincent Lavenu since its inception, it is the longest-standing professional French cycling team.
Throughout its history, the team has achieved 19 stage wins in the Tour de France, 5 in the Giro d’Italia, and 7 in the Vuelta a España. Since 2008, its main sponsor has been AG2R La Mondiale, joined in 2021 by Citroën.
The team is based in La Motte-Servolex, Savoie, and has been linked since 2001 with the Chambéry Cyclisme Formation training center, a cradle of talent feeding into the professional squad.
To face the challenges of the Tour de France, the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team needed a highly functional mobile workshop—one capable of supporting daily operations with maximum efficiency.
3D Beta designed and built a tailor-made workspace, combining innovative solutions with meticulous design. The goal was to create an optimized environment ensuring speed and precision in technical work, integrating advanced technology with maximum practicality.
The result is a cutting-edge workshop, fully equipped to meet the demands of one of the world’s most prestigious cycling competitions.

The workshop was designed and built following a thorough analysis of the team’s specific needs, with the goal of addressing every customization request in detail.
Every element was conceived to guarantee functionality, efficiency, and operational comfort, making the most of the available space.
The entire area was optimized with the unique requirements of a cycling-focused workshop in mind, which differ greatly from those in the automotive sector—from workspace layout to tool placement, and the creation of dedicated zones for precision maintenance and component tuning.
